02 TESTING

Testing & Inspection Schedule

Routine Inspection
Annual (12 months)

Commercial-use elevators subject to annual inspection per Colorado state guidelines. Comprehensive inspection per ASME A17.1-2019 requirements.

Category 1 Test
Annual (12 months)

Category 1 periodic test per ASME A17.1-2019 covering no-load safety-device tests and routine maintenance verification.

Category 5 Test
Every 5 years

Category 5 periodic test per ASME A17.1-2019 covering full-load/full-speed comprehensive safety test. CAT5 only required on hydraulic elevators equipped with safeties, plunger gripper, governor, oil buffer, or over-speed valve per Colorado regulations.
