Testing & Inspection Schedule

Routine Inspection
Annual (12 months) or extended intervals per inspector availability

All periodic conveyance inspections by state inspectors conducted annually unless state labor commissioner determines resources do not allow annual inspections. Comprehensive inspection per ASME A17.1-2019 requirements.

Category 1 Test
Annual (12 months)

Category 1 periodic test per ASME A17.1-2019 covering no-load safety-device tests and routine maintenance verification.

Category 5 Test
Every 5 years

Category 5 periodic test per ASME A17.1-2019 covering full-load/full-speed comprehensive safety test.
