Testing & Inspection Schedule

Routine Inspection

All elevators must be inspected annually. Comprehensive inspection per ASME A17.1-2019 requirements. State-licensed inspectors conduct official inspections.

Category 1 Test
Annual (12 months)

Category 1 periodic test per ASME A17.1-2019 covering basic examination of essential components.

Category 5 Test
Every 5 years

Category 5 periodic test per ASME A17.1-2019 covering comprehensive evaluation.

Additional Required Tests

Fire service functional test
Per ASME A17.1-2019 — Firefighter emergency operation verification per ASME A17.1-2019.
