02 TESTING

Testing & Inspection Schedule

Routine Inspection
Per CAT testing schedule (6-month CAT1)

All elevators must be inspected per CAT schedule. **CRITICAL: Oregon requires ALL testing be witnessed by state inspector (unique requirement).** Comprehensive inspection per ASME A17.1-2019 requirements.

Category 1 Test
6 months minimum interval (OREGON ONLY - UNIQUE)

Category 1 periodic test per ASME A17.1-2019 covering basic examination of essential components. **UNIQUE: Oregon requires 6-month intervals (all other states annual).**

Category 5 Test
Every 5 years

Category 5 periodic test per ASME A17.1-2019 covering comprehensive evaluation.

Fire service functional test
Per ASME A17.1-2019 — Firefighter emergency operation verification per ASME A17.1-2019.

State inspector witness requirement
All testing — All CAT testing must be witnessed by Oregon state inspector (unique to Oregon).
